5 – 10 Minute Home Work Out with Andy Murphy

Local fitness expert and Urban Gym founder Andy Murphy has put together a short 5 minute workout routine that you can do from the comfort of your own home, with no extra equipment necessary.

We have devised a couple of workouts for people who maybe can’t find the time to get to a gym or find it difficult because of their busy family or work lifestyle.

Not everyone can afford 30+ minutes to work out or hit the gym 3-5 times per week… Are you short on time but want to increase your fitness level ? Or do you just find it difficult to create a workout habit due to a busy schedule? A 5 to 10-minute full-body workout is a good way to do something good for yourself and experience health benefits at the same time. ….And remember the only bad workout is the one you didn’t do

Benefits of a 5 – 10 Minute Workout:
  • Improves cardio respiratory fitness
  • Activates all major muscle groups
  • Elevates your heart rate and helps burn more calories
  • Boosts brain function

How to do the Workout:

*No equipment is required
This workout is all based around your body weight and can be modified to suit your fitness level……

  • 5 x WALK OUTS
  • 10 x PUSH UPS
  • 15 x SQUATS
  • 20 x JUMPING JACKS

If you are a beginner start by doing this workout for 5 minutes whenever you can and you will gradually be able to go for longer…. After 2 weeks try and challenge yourself by doing three 5 minute rounds with one minute rest to get a good sweat.

1) WALK OUTS
2) PUSH UP
3) SQUATS

4) JUMPING JACKS
