The John F. Kennedy Arboretum is dedicated to the memory of U.S. President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. It consists of 623 acres including 5,000 types of trees and shrubs planted in botanical sequence, 200 forest plots, rhododendrons and dwarf conifers. This tranquil arboretum features over 500 different rhododendron and azaleas and an internationally important collection. Attractions include two exhibitions on President Kennedy & the Arboretum, signposted walks and a lake.
Free guided tours are available every day at 12 midday & 3pm from March to October. A road provides access to the summit of Slivicoilltia from where there are panoramic views over 6 counties.
Facilities on site: Exhibitions, guided tours from March to October, signposted walks, lake, The Hooftop Bar and Cafe. Also, a playground, picnic area and toilets. Dogs are welcome, however, must be on a lead.

Slievecoilltia
Slievecoilltia a small mountain outside of New Ross is believed to have a significant connection with Irish mythology, the 275-metre ascent is nothing short of spectacular, with a breathtaking view from the top you can see the whole of Wexford on a clear day. If you find that the climb is too steep, you can load up the car and drive to the top of Slievecoilltia where there is a trail around the top of the mountain, so you can see for miles in any direction.
