Niamh and Liam Colfer, locals to the area, had spent two years travelling Europe in a camper van together with their family before moving home last year. They were travelling to learn more about their passion for tourism and yoga, and to find the perfect location to start their dream business, however, it was only after moving home they realised that perfect location had been on their doorstep all along. It’s the old Abbey Garden Centre outside of Fethard where their business (Livin’ off the Hook ) is offering classes inside the gardens and in their new state of the art dome facility, boasting a totally unique experience.
This family run business offers yoga retreats, HIIT and fitness classes and private walking tours of Tintern Abbey which is close by. The schedule also presents beach yoga and breath work which is becoming an important trend in modern health. This site will offer more than just a holistic centre. With time Niamh and Liam hope to make this a fun and safe space for families and kids to enjoy, with picnic spaces and all ages workshops. Businesses like this are what makes the Hook Peninsula so unique to all types of tourists and we have no doubt that this exciting venture will be a success for the guys!!
