Paul, Margaret, Karen and the team Barrow Office Supplies are thrilled to be celebrating 32 Years in Business, and they wanted to take the opportunity to look back on how it all started and how far they’ve come.

“Occupying the Corner Space of John Street and Bridge Street, Barrow Office Supplies has been in New Ross for quite a while now. Not quite as long as the Normans though who are soon to be our neighbours but none the less a part of New Ross since 1989.

It is because of you, the people of New Ross and surrounds that we are still here.
You came into us excited to pick out the fairy or tractor pencil case, put in your chubby pencil with the nice pencil grip and set off into the big world of school.

You came back shortly afterwards as a veteran of the school system, stocked up again, schoolbook labels printed with the Wexford or Kilkenny colours and started another year. Armed with your coloured sheets, pritt and markers you were ready to tackle all your upcoming projects. We wished you luck as you left with your acrylics and A3 pad to enter the Community Games or Credit Union Art Contest.

A new phase begins, and you are back again, this time looking for scientific calculators, set squares, A4 hard backs, plastic pockets, mesh bags, T squares and a lot of stuff that looks strange to you. The colour of your uniform has changed and you are starting a new adventure again. We see you often now as you have time and friends in New Ross, there are a few panic days when you need random art bits for a TY or Mini Company project or need something urgently for an exam that has slipped your mind. We are interested in your Junior or Leaving Cert Art Project and provide you with the clay, plaster or whatever is needed.

Fast forward a few years and in a flash, you are only around at the weekends but again we are happy to see you calling in for ink, pukka pads, lamination pouches and all the college necessities. We see the relief on your face as you hand over your all-important thesis to print and bind.
We are here when you decide to go it alone and now, we might be printing your name on a self inking company stamp and helping you stock up on general office products as you start your own business, or maybe you are now a new voice with one of our local customers or are bringing new custom to us from another source. Whatever the reason we are glad you are still shopping with us.

We are still here. The main difference now is that we are in your sitting room or office 24/7. You no longer have to rush down before 6 to see us but can browse our new site in the comfort of your own home whenever you wish.

If you find yourself browsing in an uncomfortable chair you will be happy to hear that we now have a furniture showroom open. We highly recommend that you call in and select a chair to suit your browsing needs. We supply and deliver all furniture fully assembled.
